RHOA’s Phaedra Parks and Shamea Morton Debut on ABC’s ‘Will Trent’ [TRAILER]

The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Phaedra Parks and Shamea Morton are set to showcase their acting skills on ABC’s ‘Will Trent.’ In an exclusive clip released by PEOPLE, the duo takes on the roles of Adela Blakely and Aviva Westwood in a parody version of the reality show “Ex Wives of Atlanta” within the police procedural drama.

Blakely, portrayed by Parks, embodies a “lively and icy” persona, while Morton’s Westwood is depicted as “warm but cruel.” The plot thickens when both characters become suspects in the death of a fellow cast member on the fictional reality series. As the interrogation unfolds, Blakely defends her actions with witty remarks, while Westwood maintains her composure, albeit with a hint of sarcasm.

“Will Trent,” starring Ramón Rodríguez as the titular character, is based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling books. The series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. As a child, Trent was abandoned and was forced to endure a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. Now that he is in a position to make a difference, Trent is determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was. His personal motivation and background contribute to Will Trent having the highest clearance rate in the GBI.

The March 5 episode of “Will Trent” garnered significant viewership across multiple platforms, marking it as the series’ most-watched multi-platform telecast to date. With a notable increase in ratings, the show continues to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline and diverse cast.

Will Trent also stars Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood and Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner. Liz Heldens, Dan Thomsen, Karin Slaughter, Oly Obst and Howie Deutch executive produce. The pilot episode was written by Heldens and Thomsen, and directed and executive produced by Paul McGuigan. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
