Robin Givens is heading to the world of Alex Cross. The actress has joined the recurring cast of Prime Video’s Cross for its upcoming third season.
Givens joins a cast that includes returning series lead Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross, alongside Isaiah Mustafa, Samantha Walkes, Alona Tal, Johnny Ray Gill, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah and Melody Hurd.
Season 3 picks up following the dramatic events of the Season 2 finale, in which Cross, disillusioned by the depth of corruption within the Metropolitan Police Department, turned in his badge after exposing billionaire Lance Durand’s human trafficking operation. Operating outside the system, Cross will now pursue justice on his own terms, with showrunner Ben Watkins teasing that the new season will explore the theme of addiction through Cross’s relentless drive to hunt.
She will portray Senator Mulrooney, an intellectual conservative described as overbearing both as a parent and a partner. She is the wife of a doctor and mother of a son whose problems she keeps closely guarded.
New additions this season also include Ethan Embry as Frederick, a charismatic tough-love sobriety coach, and Ron Perlman as Herschel Zamora, a hard-nosed police officer referred to Cross for therapy.
Based on the beloved James Patterson book series and developed for television by Watkins, Cross is a Washington D.C.-based crime drama following Alex Cross, a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist uniquely capable of digging into the minds of serial killers. The eight-episode third season began filming in Toronto in April and is expected to premiere in the first half of 2027 on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
