Roland Buck III is returning to the Wolf Entertainment universe. The actor has been cast as FBI Special Agent Isaiah Green in CBS’s hit drama FBI, stepping in as the new partner to longtime series lead Missy Peregrym’s Agent Maggie Bell when the show returns for Season 9.

FBI is the flagship drama from Wolf Entertainment, following the dedicated agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as they investigate complex cases involving terrorism, organized crime, counterintelligence and other major threats out of the New York field office. Season 8 ended on a dramatic note with the finale “Defector,” in which the team raced to recover a stolen, highly lethal bioweapon while dealing with the return of old foe Anna Vorpe. The season closed with a twist revealing that OA’s apparent firing was part of a deeper undercover operation alongside Maggie and Isobel to bring down Vorpe. Season 9 picks up with OA adjusting to a new role following those events, while Maggie navigates her new partnership with Isaiah Green.

Buck makes his debut in the Season 9 premiere, titled “Rendition,” which is part of a mini-crossover event with CBS’s CIA on October 5. In the episode, the team discovers that a young traveler found dead in a state park was witness to the execution of someone involved in a top-secret government project. Maggie struggles to bond with her new partner Green as OA adjusts to his new role, with CIA Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard (Necar Zadegan) lending a hand on the case.

The casting marks a reunion between Buck and legendary television producer Dick Wolf, who previously cast him as Dr. Noah Sexton on NBC’s Chicago Med, part of Wolf Entertainment’s acclaimed One Chicago franchise. Buck joins FBI following a string of notable roles across drama, comedy and horror. Most recently he appeared in Ryan Murphy’s FX anthology series American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez, portraying Alexander “Sherrod” Bradley. He also starred in Paramount’s Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin and appeared opposite Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in Netflix’s The Week Of.

FBI Season 9 premieres Monday, October 5 at 8/7c on CBS, followed by CIA Season 2 at 9/8c.
