Hulu’s Paradise is reuniting more than just creative collaborators — it’s reuniting real-life partners on screen. Ryan Michelle Bathé has joined the second season of the post-apocalyptic political thriller, starring opposite her husband, Sterling K. Brown.

Bathé is set to appear in a guest-starring role, though plot and character details are being kept tightly under wraps. This marks another on-screen collaboration for the couple, who also previously shared the screen in Army Wives and This Is Us, where Bathé had a recurring role and Brown starred as Randall Pearson.
Season 1 of Paradise, which premiered on Hulu, followed Agent Xavier Collins (played by Brown) as he investigates the assassination of the president of a secret underground city. Created by Dan Fogelman (This Is Us), the first season featured a strong ensemble cast including James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Nicole Brydon Bloom, Aliyah Mastin, and Percy Daggs IV.

Season 2 continues production under 20th Television, with Fogelman, Brown, John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, John Hoberg, Jess Rosenthal, and Steve Beers returning as executive producers.
New additions to the Paradise cast this season include Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty, both in key recurring guest star roles. As with Bathé, details on their characters have yet to be revealed.
Outside of Paradise, Bathé has maintained a steady presence on screen. She recently starred in the NBC drama The Endgame, BET+’s First Wives Club, and appeared in CBS/OWN’s All Rise. She also led the pilot JumpStart opposite Terry Crews and stars in the upcoming Constance Zimmer-directed thriller Boy in the Wall.
Off-screen, Bathé and Brown co-host the NAACP Image Award-winning podcast We Don’t Always Agree, where they explore lifestyle and self-help topics with humor and insight.
Season 2 of Paradise does not yet have a release date.
