Sam Richardson and Tiffany Boone are heading to Netflix. The two are set to star in A Hundred Percent, a new half-hour live-action comedy series now in production in Los Angeles.
The series comes from Nick Kroll, co-creator and star of Netflix’s animated hit Big Mouth and its spinoff Human Resources, who returns to the streamer with his first live-action comedy. Kroll stars alongside Richardson (Ted Lasso, Veep), Jason Mantzoukas (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Vanessa Bayer (SNL, I Love That For You) and Diane Lane.
The show centers on a group of friends who are stars in the world of wellness and self-optimization. Their books, podcasts and morning routines might help the rest of us live more perfectly, but away from the screens and mics, they are far from it.
Lane plays Suzanne, a bestselling author, media mogul and legend in the self-help world. Boone recurs as Abby, a fun and outgoing new mom, wife to a motivational speaker and eventually his brand manager. Lisa Gilroy also stars in a recurring role as Jess, a movement therapist turned female empowerment influencer who left the group and published an inspirational book titled Big Girl Panties.
Kroll co-wrote the series with Gabe Liedman (PEN15, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additional executive producers include Max Joseph and Alex Plapinger. Netflix picked up the series in January, adding it to a comedy slate that includes Nobody Wants This, Running Point, A Man on the Inside and the upcoming Will Ferrell vehicle The Hawk.
