In honor of The Young and The Restless’ 50th anniversary on CBS, fan favorite Shemar Moore will be returning to the show as Malcolm Winters. Moore will reprise his role on May 8th. His character will return to Genoa City to reconnect with his daughter Lily, played by Christel Khalil, and nephews Devon and Nate, portrayed by Bryton James and Sean Dominic, respectively.

This isn’t the first time Moore has returned to the show since leaving in 2007. He made several appearances, most recently in 2019, for special tribute episodes after the passing of Kristoff St. John, who played Moore’s onscreen brother Neil. Moore has won eight NAACP Image Awards and the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on The Young and the Restless.

Moore’s return comes amid speculation about the fate of S.W.A.T., which remains on the bubble for a seventh season. Fans of both shows will undoubtedly be excited to see him back on the Y&R set. The Young and The Restless celebrated its 50th anniversary on March 26, and Moore’s return is sure to be a highlight for long-time viewers of the show.
