It’s so hard to say goodbye but sometimes it’s actually easy. You decide when taking a look at all the shows canceled or ended in 2022.
Let’s just call it winter cleaning as networks are still emptying their content slate *cough* HBO MAX *cough*. So as we head into 2023, let’s take a look at all the shows that won’t be heading into the new year with us.

This is Us
The series ended after its sixth season (2016-2022). This Is Us Creator Dan Fogelman said the show had to end with season 6. “It’s not because we don’t have any more story to tell,” Fogelman says. We’ve known since spring 2021 that Season 6 of This Is Us would be its last—but even still, we’re not ready to say goodbye to The Big Three and their loved ones.

Television,” show creator Ava DuVernay said in a statement shared with THR.

Despite being one of the best shows of 2022, Showtime decided to not renew the alien series. It was originally set as a limited but it changed halfway through to develop it as a season show.
Black Monday
Showtime canceled their dark comedy led by Don Cheadle and Regina Hall after three seasons. The series follows a Wall Street chop shop run by Cheadle in the year leading up to “Black Monday” in 1987.
