As the series comes to an end, FX is in the early stages of developing a Snowfall spinoff, according to Deadline. The potential offshoot is rumored to star Gail Bean reprising her fan-favorite role as Wanda, serving as a link between the original show and the new one.

The new spinoff is expected to provide a fresh perspective on the story of “Snowfall,” exploring new themes and characters while also paying homage to the original series.

The new series is expected to continue the original show’s storyline, taking place in the 1990s as South Central Los Angeles transitions out of the crack era and into the gangster rap business. Wanda will serve as a link between the two shows, and the spinoff is expected to introduce new main characters. The series will be executive produced and written by Malcolm Spellman, who has previously worked on successful shows like “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “Empire.”
