Netflix’s Nemesis, the upcoming high-stakes crime drama from Power creator Courtney A. Kemp and Tani Marole, has officially completed its roster of series regulars.
Sophina Brown, Cedric Joe, and Jeff Pierre are the latest to join the ensemble, rounding out a cast that includes: Matthew Law, Y’lan Noel, Cleopatra Coleman, Tre Hale, Ariana Guerra, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jonnie Park, Gabrielle Dennis, and Michael Potts.
Set in Los Angeles, Nemesis centers on two men locked in a dangerous power struggle—an unstoppable criminal force and an immovable detective. Y’lan Noel stars as Coltrane Wilder, a master thief with an elite crew and a complicated past. Opposite him is Matthew Law as Isaiah Stiles, a brilliant LAPD detective determined to bring him down.
But what begins as a slick heist thriller quickly unravels into a deeper, more layered exploration of morality, loyalty, family, and the psychological toll of staying in the game too long—on both sides of the law.

The Team Behind the Scenes
Nemesis is Kemp’s first project under her Netflix overall deal, with her serving as showrunner and executive producer. She’s joined by co-creator Tani Marole, Chris Selak (End of Episode), and Philipp Barnett. Acclaimed director Mario Van Peebles (Power Book III: Raising Kanan) is on board to direct and executive produce the first two episodes.
Filming is underway in Los Angeles, where the story is set—grounding the action in a city known for reinvention, corruption, and duality, all themes reflected in the series.
“Tani and I are excited to bring a hard-hitting psychological crime drama to Netflix—specific in location, but broad in universal themes of right and wrong, love and loss, and loyalty versus self-preservation,” said Kemp.
Netflix’s VP of Studio Scripted Series, Nne Ebong, added:
“Viewers are in for a ride with Nemesis, Courtney and Tani’s bold take on the crime drama genre. Courtney’s shows have proven to dominate culture and conversation, and it’s exciting to have this be the first project from our creative partnership.”
What to Expect
From the minds behind one of the most influential crime franchises in recent television history, Nemesis promises fast-paced storytelling, rich character development, and a gritty tone that goes beyond good vs. evil. With its cast now locked in and production underway, this is one series that already has our attention.
A premiere date has yet to be announced, but it’s safe to say Nemesis is one of Netflix’s most anticipated dramas on the horizon.
