Watch Black and White and In Color Trailer For Gritty Take on Marvel’s Private Eye Hero ‘Spider-Noir’ Trailer

Prime Video has released the official trailer for Spider-Noir, the upcoming live-action series led by Nicolas Cage, marking the actor’s first time headlining a television project. Produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, the series is set to debut on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25, 2026, before launching globally on Prime Video on May 27 across more than 240 countries and territories. All eight episodes will be available to stream at once, with Prime Video serving as the exclusive streaming home.

The trailer made its world premiere at CCXPMX26 in Mexico City, where more than 2,100 fans gathered at the Centro Banamex Convention Center for the reveal. Cast members Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, and Karen Rodriguez joined creator and co-showrunner Oren Uziel onstage to introduce the series, while attendees were treated to an extended scene and a special video message from Nicolas Cage. The event also featured exclusive collectible badges inspired by the show’s characters, designed by Mexican artist Jorge Molina.

Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the series follows Ben Reilly, portrayed by Nicolas Cage, a once-renowned masked vigilante known as “The Spider.” Now a down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, Reilly is forced to confront his past after a deeply personal tragedy, as danger in the city begins to pull him back into the role of its only superhero. The series is set in a standalone universe and is not connected to the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse films, despite Cage previously voicing a version of the character in the animated feature.

The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris as ambitious journalist Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li as nightclub performer Cat Hardy, and Karen Rodriguez as Janet, Reilly’s sharp and loyal secretary. Additional cast members include Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson, with guest appearances from Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

In a unique creative approach, Spider-Noir will be available in two distinct visual formats: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color.” The dual presentation allows viewers to experience the same story through different stylistic lenses, drawing inspiration from classic noir films while also embracing a more modern, comic-inspired color palette.

The series is directed and executive produced by Emmy-winning filmmaker Harry Bradbeer, who helmed the first two episodes. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, having developed the project alongside Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse creative team Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Lord and Miller also executive produce under their Lord Miller banner, with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear, while Pascal produces via Pascal Pictures. Nicolas Cage and Pavlina Hatoupis also serve as executive producers.

With its noir-inspired tone, layered protagonist, and innovative visual presentation, Spider-Noir aims to offer a darker, more introspective take on a familiar Marvel character—one rooted in regret, resilience, and the lingering pull of a past life that refuses to stay buried.
