Tamara Taylor is joining the cast of FX’s Snowfall for its sixth and final season.
Snowfall comes from John Singleton, Eric Amadio, and showrunner Dave Andron. Set in Los Angeles in 1983, the series revolves around the first crack epidemic and its impact on the city. The series follows the stories of several characters whose lives are fated to intersect: 20-year-old drug dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican luchador Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata, CIA operative Teddy McDonald, and a Mexican crime boss’s niece, Lucia Villanueva.
Season 6 picks up where Franklin is now on his own accord, has left the game and chose to walk away but at the cost of his money being hijacked by Teddy, and now Louie and Jerome have officially cut ties with him. Franklin now has to make friends and allies with those who tried to kill him and those who do not share America’s interest, while fully proving he isn’t done with the game. Teddy managed to hack Franklin’s accounts and received the funding he needed to defeat the Communists in Nicaragua once and for all, however his plans are derailed when the woman he loves is kidnapped and Avi is killed, leaving him short of an arms dealer. Gustavo, on the other hand, is now in the custody of the DEA, just as he was prepared to skip town with his family.
Details regarding who she will portray are under wraps.
Taylor joins returning cast members Damson Idris who plays Franklin Saint, Carter Hudson, Isaiah John, Amin Joseph, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Angela Lewis, Michael Hyatt, Devyn Tyler, DeVaughn Nixon, and Alejandro Edda.
Snowfall is executive produced by Singleton, Andron, Amadio, Thomas Schlamme, Michael London, Trevor Engelson, Leonard Chang, Walter Mosley, and Julie DeJoie. Idris also serves as a producer. The series is produced by FX Productions.
Taylor’s credits include Law & Order: Organized Crime, Bones, Altered Carbon, October Faction, Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman, and more.
As of now there is now return date for Snowfall season 6.
