Taye Diggs and Meagan Good, are set to headline and executive produce Lifetime’s latest movie, ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Forever.’ The film, directed by Charles Murray is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

Scripted by Bart Baker, ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Forever’ centers on Johnnie (Diggs), who returns home from military service only to be met with divorce papers. As he grapples with this unexpected turn, he finds himself falling for Carlie (Good), a local policewoman who pulls him over for speeding. Determined to win her heart, Johnnie must also win over her three daughters, confronting his own fears and regrets to discover love and the true meaning of family.

The Ninth House produces the movie in collaboration with GroupM Motion Entertainment. Alongside Diggs and Good, author Terry McMillan serves as an executive producer, joined by director Charles Murray, Richard Foster, and Chet Fenster from GroupM Motion Entertainment. Emmy-winning producer Shelby Stone, Autumn Federici, and Jake Helgren also contribute as producers for The Ninth House.

‘Forever’ is part of a series under the “Terry McMillan Presents” banner, which also includes ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love,’ premiering a week earlier on August 17. This film features Garcelle Beauvais, Vaughn W. Hebron, Lela Rochon, Emmy-winner Loretta Devine, and Donna Biscoe. Notably, Rochon and Devine reunite after co-starring in ‘Waiting to Exhale.’

‘Tempted By Love’ tells the story of Ava (Beauvais), a renowned chef who returns to South Carolina to care for her elderly aunt (Biscoe). She forms a passionate connection with Luke (Hebron), a younger driver, as they bond over their shared love for food and family. Ava navigates her feelings for Luke while balancing her career and personal life.

These films are part of McMillan’s collaboration with Lifetime, celebrating the network’s 40th anniversary. Known for bestsellers like ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’ and ‘Waiting to Exhale,’ McMillan’s partnership aims to portray the love and lives of Black women.

‘Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love’ is executive produced by Garcelle Beauvais and D’Angela Proctor for Undaunted Content, alongside McMillan, Richard Foster, and Chet Fenster from GroupM Motion Entertainment. Directed by Taliah Breon with a script by Tamara T. Gregory, the film continues Beauvais’s partnership with Lifetime, announced in April. This collaboration includes the production of three original movies, building on the success of ‘Black Girl Missing’ and the upcoming ‘Abducted at an HBCU: A Black Girl Missing Movie.’
