Turnstr+ has released the official trailer for Forever, This Ring, the psychological thriller marking the debut film for the new streaming platform, ahead of its October 2 streaming launch.
Directed by filmmaker and former record executive Chris Stokes, the film follows Maveric Collins (Taye Diggs), a wealthy entrepreneur and longtime playboy who vowed never to marry, until he meets a woman who seems to be everything he’d been searching for. After the two tie the knot, Maveric discovers his new wife, played by Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alum Erica Mena, isn’t who he thought she was, and their picture-perfect marriage quickly spirals into a nightmare marked by suspicion, confrontation, and increasingly dangerous behavior. In the trailer, Maveric tells her, “Stay away from me!” She warns back, “If I can’t have you, no one can.”
The cast also includes Loretta Devine, La’Myia Good, Marques Houston, and Malik Whitfield.
The film carries added significance as the first release for Turnstr+, which officially launches October 2. Stokes has signed an exclusive 20-picture deal with the platform, making Forever, This Ring the opening title in a much larger planned slate. Stokes and Houston share a long history together at Footage Films, where Houston has served as CEO, writer, and producer, with Stokes as chairman and Juanita Stokes as president.
Ahead of its streaming debut, the film will premiere in Los Angeles on September 29 at the TCL Chinese Theatre. The project also reunites Stokes and Diggs, who previously worked together on the 2017 thriller Til Death Do Us Part.
Forever, This Ring begins streaming October 2 on Turnstr+.
