THE CHI SEASON 6 TRAILER

The recently released trailer for Season 6 of “The Chi” provides a glimpse into the high school milestones and personal journeys of the characters. Kevin, Jake, and Papa mark the end of their high school careers, signifying an important transition. However, it appears that Emmett is the one facing significant challenges and life lessons, whether he desires them or not.

The two-minute spot shows the teens experiencing a bunch of adolescent milestones: prom, graduation, and the like. Meanwhile, Emmett proudly tells Kiesha, “Douda investing in me is the best thing that ever happened to us. Everything he promised is coming true.” But she’s not impressed, and by halfway through the trailer — right around the time Douda is pressing a gun into Emmett’s hand and telling him, “When someone offers you a gift, you should take it” — the young restaurateur seems far less excited about the partnership, as well.

The trailer hints at the complex storylines that await in Season 6. The aftermath of Q’s murder affects Douda and the shifting loyalty of his inner circle. Victor makes a bold declaration of love that impacts both his new relationship and his political ambitions. Jada, happily married, mentors Emmett and her best friends as they navigate relationships. Kevin is becoming a brilliant master gamer but struggles with the youthful pitfalls of early independence. Jake launches a new business venture, and Papa falls for an older woman while questioning his faith. The pursuits of these characters will be revealed over the course of the season’s 16 jaw-dropping episodes.
