Earlier we reported that “The Chi” season 6 added six additional episodes this season and the now 16-episode season will be told in a two-part structure. With the first part concluding on September 24th. However before The Chi’s part one’s finale there will be a new addition to the cast as Jill Marie Jones joins in a guest starring role.
Jill Marie Jones steps into the character of Bianca and in this clip (via TheWrap) it shows Bianca nestled comfortably on a bar couch beside Douda (Curtiss Cook). Set against a backdrop of romantic lighting, the interaction between Bianca and Douda is filled with playful charm. Bianca engages in a lively discussion, helping Douda evaluate potential candidates to lead his gang. With a touch of wit, she quips, “They can’t all be cold-blooded like you.”
Douda responds with a hint of humor, declaring, “But that’s the job,” before sealing the moment with a kiss. Watch below.
Jones’ debut as Bianca is scheduled for August 25, gracing the episode titled “ReUp.”
The Chi stars Jacob Latimore as Emmett, Alex R. Hibbert as Kevin, Yolonda Ross as Jada, Shamon Brown Jr. as Papa, Michael V. Epps as Jake, Birgundi Baker as Kiesha, and Luke James as Victor. This season, the cast also added Lynn Whitfield in a recurring role as Alicia.
Behind the scenes, “The Chi” Season 6 is guided by a team of executive producers, including Lena Waithe, Common, Aaron Kaplan, Rick Famuyiwa, Derek Dudley, Shelby Stone, and Rishi Rajani. Overseeing the season are co-showrunners Justin Hillian and Jewel Coronel, with direction from Deondray Gossfield and Quincy LeNear Gossfield in multiple episodes.
The decision to expand the season is well-founded, as Season 6’s premiere drew an impressive 1.8 million total viewers, marking a remarkable start for “The Chi.” Moreover, the season has witnessed a significant 65% increase in streaming viewership, partly attributed to the availability of Season 6 on Paramount+. These numbers are supported by Nielsen L+3, comScore, and internal streaming data gathered within the first week.
New episodes of “The Chi” are accessible for streaming on Paramount+ every Friday. Alternatively, Showtime viewers can enjoy the excitement of watching new episodes live on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
