The real story that inspired ‘The Deliverance’:
The thriller is based on Latoya Ammons and her family, whose life rights made this film possible. They claim to have been victims of demonic possession for over two years. Ammons and her family have received international media attention for their accounts, which have been witnessed and documented by the Department of Child Services (DCS), Gary (Indiana) Police Department, and hospital staff. The haunting began with swarms of flies and strange noises, escalating to possessions, with incidents such as levitation and children gliding up walls. DCS case managers and medical staff witnessed these events, and exorcisms and psychological exams failed to resolve the bizarre occurrences.
