AMC recently unveiled the teaser trailer and first look images for “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live,” an eagerly anticipated spin-off featuring Danai Gurira as Michonne and Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. This six-episode limited series is set to premiere in February 2024.
New cast members joining the series include Pollyanna McIntosh reprising her role as Jadis, along with Terry O’Quinn and Matt Jeffries, who will portray Beale and Nat, respectively. Additionally, Lesley-Ann Brandt has been confirmed to play Pearl.

The series promises an epic love story between Rick and Michonne, set against the backdrop of a world forever changed. They find themselves separated by distance, an insurmountable force, and the memories of who they once were. Their journey takes them into a new world, defined by a relentless battle against the undead and, ultimately, a struggle against the living. The question remains: Can they reunite and rediscover their former selves in an unfamiliar and challenging environment?
“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” is written and produced by Scott Gimple, who also serves as the show’s runner. Gurira is credited as a co-creator and co-writer. Based on the eponymous comic series by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard, the show is executive produced by Kirkman, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert, Joseph Incaprera, Gale Anne Hurd, Denise Huth, and Angela Kang.
The teaser trailer showcases Rick and Michonne individually battling walkers, and it’s accompanied by Rick’s heartfelt words, “Please know I tried. I tried, but I failed. Just know I love you.” This glimpse into the epic love story of Rick and Michonne is a must-watch for fans and sets the stage for the series’ premiere in February 2024.
