Paramount+ Announces Full Cast for Knuckles Spinoff Series

Paramount+, Paramount Pictures, and SEGA of America have just unveiled the full cast of their upcoming Knuckles spinoff series, led by Idris Elba.

The live-action show, which is currently being produced in London, is a spinoff of Sonic The Hedgehog, the popular animated film franchise. Idris Elba, who first appeared as Knuckles in the second Sonic film, is set to reprise his role as the titular character.

The new series promises to be an exciting and hilarious adventure that follows Knuckles on a journey of self-discovery as he trains his protégé, Wade, and teaches him the ways of the Echidna warrior. Adam Pally will be returning to reprise his role as Wade Whipple, which he played in the film franchise. The cast also includes Tika Sumpter and a host of other talented actors, such as Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Ellie Taylor, and guest star Rory McCann from Game of Thrones.

Fans of the Sonic franchise will be delighted to know that all of the key creative team from the previous films are returning for the series. The team includes director Jeff Fowler, as well as Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher, John Whittington, Idris Elba, and Toru Nakahara, who are all serving as executive producers on the series. Additionally, the series will have several new directors, including Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone, and Carol Banker.

The Sonic franchise has been a favorite of fans for over three decades, having first launched in 1991 as a video game. It has since expanded into comic books, animated series, and now, live-action films and television shows. The first Sonic film, released in 2020, was a box office success, grossing over $319 million worldwide. And the follow up, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, took in a total of more than $405.4 million.

With the popularity of the franchise continuing to grow, the upcoming Knuckles series is sure to be a hit among fans of all ages.
