Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Ajala have joined Keira Knightley in Netflix’s feature adaptation of Ruth Ware’s bestselling thriller, The Woman in Cabin 10. The film, based on Ware’s gripping mystery novel, follows Knightley as a travel journalist covering a luxury yacht. When she’s awoken by screams in the middle of the night, she witnesses what seems to be a passenger being thrown overboard from a neighboring cabin. However, the next day, all passengers are accounted for, leading to a nerve-wracking and suspense-filled journey as the truth unravels.

Also joining the cast are Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, David Morrissey, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, Art Malik, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Gitte Witt, Christopher Rygh, and Paul Kaye.
The Woman in Cabin 10 is directed by Simon Stone, known for his work on The Dig and The Daughter. Stone also co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse (Snake Eyes). Production is being handled by Sister, the company co-founded by Elizabeth Murdoch and Jane Featherstone, with Debra Hayward producing. Ilda Diffley of Sister and Richard Hewitt are executive producing the project.

The ensemble cast brings even more excitement to the project. Guy Pearce is set to appear in David Cronenberg’s The Shrouds and Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist. Hannah Waddingham, fresh off The Fall Guy, will be seen in Mission: Impossible 8. Gugu Mbatha-Raw recently starred in Loki and Netflix’s Lift, while David Ajala has made waves in Star Trek: Discovery.
As one of Ware’s most beloved novels, The Woman in Cabin 10 will be a tense and thrilling adaptation.
