Tory Kittles and Brianna Reed have joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming comedy series I Suck at Girls, taking on recurring roles alongside previously announced series leads Kayo Martin as Steven, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Garrett and Laila Pruitt as Anna.
Based on Justin Halpern’s bestselling autobiography of the same name, I Suck at Girls follows three awkward high school sophomores stumbling through the messy world of teenage romance and identity. The series also stars regulars Anna Konkle and Taegen Burns and J.J. Nolan and Paul Scheer who will recur.
Kittles, known for The Equalizer and Dragged Across Concrete, will play Principal Harrison. Reed, known for The Mindy Project, will play Emmy. Nolan will play Coach Doyle and Scheer will play Mr. Jung. Konkle, best known for co-creating and starring in Hulu’s Pen15, plays Maria, while Burns, known for The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, plays Natalia.
Halpern co-showruns and co-writes the series alongside Patrick Schumacker, the duo best known as co-showrunners on Abbott Elementary. Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer executive produce for Doozer Productions. Warner Bros. Television serves as the studio with Netflix producing.
