Tyrese Stars in Murder-Mystery Comedy ‘Helen’s Dead’ [TRAILER]

Screen Media has acquired the North American rights to “Helen’s Dead,” a mystery comedy featuring a cast that includes Tyrese Gibson, Dylan Gelula, Emile Hirsch, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and Oliver Cooper. The film is set to release in the top 10 markets on November 3.

Directed by K. Asher Levin, “Helen’s Dead” follows Addie (played by Gelula) as she confronts her best friend about cheating allegations and accidentally stumbles into a murder scene. Amy Brown Carver wrote the script based on her story co-written with Levin. The film is produced by Levin, Daniel Cummings, Robert Dean, Roy Scott MacFarland, and Todd Lundbohm.

“828 Productions” provided financing for “Helen’s Dead,” which was executive produced by Joe Heath, Brian Dahlin, Matthew Helderman, Grady Craig, Luke Taylor, Jarnell Stokes, Amy Brown Carver, Ford Corbett, Brian Katz, Thomas Zambeck, Tannaz Ansani, and Greg Schenz.

In addition to “Helen’s Dead,” Screen Media has also recently acquired other films, including “Monsters of California,” directed by Tom DeLonge, and “Saint Clare,” a thriller starring Bella Thorne, Ryan Phillippe, and Rebecca DeMornay. The deal for “Helen’s Dead” was negotiated by Roy Scott MacFarland on behalf of Tetrad Studios and Stoked Film Group, with legal services provided by Madison Karsenty and Lisa Califf of Donaldson, Califf & Perez.
