The show follows three former soldiers who return to their hometown of Miami in the mid-1980s after being dishonorably discharged from the military for their involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal. Disgraced and with no job prospects, the trio partner with a mysterious Colombian immigrant and form a heist crew, driven by the need for American green and the pursuit of the American Dream.

Executive producers of the series include G-Unit, Alex Young, and Jason Spitz for 87 Eleven. Chad Stahelski, who is best known for his work on the John Wick franchise, will serve as executive producer and director. Jackson’s G-Unit Film & Television has produced a variety of content across various platforms, including the hit Starz series Power, in which Jackson starred, executive produced, and directed. The company is also expanding its feature slate with a three-picture horror deal in collaboration with horror phenomenon Eli Roth and 3BlackDot.

With the involvement of Lionsgate Television, Paramount Television Studios, and G-Unit Film & Television, Vice City is expected to be a high-profile addition to the platform’s growing lineup of original programming.
