With wedding bells ringing, love and laughter are set to heat up this summer as Prime Video’s original series, With Love, returns for its second season. Created by Gloria Calderón Kellett, the show follows a Latino family’s journey through different forms of love. After a successful first season, With Love was renewed in April of 2022, and now after much anticipation we get a first glimpse of With Love season 2 ahead of its premiere on June 2.
With Love is a multi-holiday romantic comedy series, written and created by Gloria Calderón Kellett, follows the Diaz siblings, Lily and Jorge Jr., on a mission to find love and purpose. In each of the five episodes follows Lily, Jorge Jr. and the entire Diaz family as they navigate the highs and lows of love during a different holiday throughout the year, including Christmas Eve/Nochebuena, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, the Fourth of July, and Dia de los Muertos.

The series stars Emeraude Toubia and Mark Indelicato as siblings Lily and Jorge Diaz Jr. Rome Flynn, Desmond Chiam, Vincent Rodriguez III, Isis King, Todd Grinnell, Constance Marie, and Benito Martinez round out the cast.
Season 2 picks up from the first season’s cliffhanger, where one of the three primary couples becomes engaged. Viewers will finally learn who popped the question, and the season will focus on wedding preparations leading up to the big day. The upcoming episodes will take place on specific days and events, including Christmas Eve, an engagement party, Lily’s 30th birthday, a bachelor party, Thanksgiving, and the wedding day itself.

The new photos showcase some of the events that will unfold during the upcoming season, including an engagement party, a bachelor party, and a group trip. Along with the previously mentioned cast, the upcoming season welcomes several new faces to the show. Isabella Gomez, Lisa Vidal, Jeanine Mason, Lauren “Lolo” Spencer, Scott Evans, Adrian Gonzalez, Busy Philipps, Cameron Esposito, and Briana Cuoco are the new additions to the cast.
Creator Gloria Calderón Kellett reiterated the show’s emphasis on love and its diverse cast. Season 2 follows a Latino family supporting and loving a couple getting married, with stories centered on queer people, brown people, and AAPI communities. Calderón Kellett wanted the series to center on love, especially for its diverse characters.

With Love made its debut on Amazon Prime Video as one of the few modern romantic comedies that centered Latinos and other marginalized communities. In season 1, Calderón Kellett showed how the diverse Latino community celebrated holidays through modern love stories, intertwined with joy, heartbreak, and family. For season 2, she hopes to break down barriers around openness about sexuality and major life milestones.
