Y’all better come over here and save Athena.

ABC has dropped the trailer for the upcoming Season 7 premiere of Ryan Murphy’s hit procedural drama, “9-1-1,” starring Angela Bassett and Peter Krause.

The trailer provides a sneak peek into Athena (Bassett) and Bobby’s (Krause) honeymoon cruise, which takes an unexpected turn when terrorists hijack the ship. The gripping footage hints at a disaster reminiscent of the classic film “The Poseidon Adventure,” showcasing the first-responder couple in a race against time to save the day.

Executive producer Tim Minear had previously teased the homage to the iconic adventure film, stating, “We’re doing ‘The Poseidon Adventure,’ and we’re making no mystery of it.”

In addition to the cruise-ship disaster, the Season 7 premiere will also feature a subplot involving a lost jet fighter and its pilot, adding another layer of intensity to the episode. Set to air on March 14, this season marks the first season in which the show has moved from its former home at Fox to ABC.

The ensemble cast, which includes Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Gavin McHugh, and Ryan Guzman, is gearing up for the show’s 100th episode on April 4. Despite challenges like the midseason replacement, COVID, and a strike, the cast remains dedicated to delivering thrilling emergencies.

“9-1-1” continues its tradition of combining suspenseful moments with outlandish scenarios and ripped-from-the-headlines drama. As the series moves to a new night (Thursdays, 8 EDT/PDT) and network, fans can expect the same adrenaline-pumping episodes that have defined the show.

Watch the trailer below and don’t miss the premiere as Athena and Bobby navigate a perilous honeymoon cruise in “Abandon ‘Ships'” on March 14, featuring the talented ensemble cast facing their biggest emergencies yet.
