The revival, filmed last year during Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Weekend in Las Vegas, features four episodes hosted by the renowned Mike Epps. The lineup includes an array of comedic talents such as Tommy Davidson, Brandi Denise, DC Young Fly, Jayski, Navv Greene, Tony Roberts, Lavar Walker, Bresha Webb, and Tacarra Williams. Notably, this marks the stand-up debut for rapper T.I.

Originally a groundbreaking platform for both new and veteran comedians, the original “Comic View” showcased diverse talents from across the country. Over the years, the hosting baton was passed between comedy legends like D.L. Hughley, Cedric The Entertainer, Kevin Hart, Sommore, and others, with the series concluding in December 2008.

Upon announcing the reboot in July 2023, Kevin Hart expressed his excitement, highlighting the significance of “Comic View” in providing comedians a national stage. BET President and CEO Scott Mills echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the show’s historical impact on stand-up specials and the launch of mega-comedy stars.

The new “Comic View” is scheduled to premiere exclusively on BET+ on Thursday, Mar. 14. The series will be executive produced by Epps and Hart, along with Tiffany Williams and Angela Aguilera from BET.

BET’s original “Comic View” aired from 1992 to 2008, took a hiatus, and returned with new episodes from 2012 to 2014.
