Anna Maria Horsford has joined the ensemble of Netflix’s upcoming dark comedy series, “No Good Deed,” created and executive produced by Liz Feldman.
The half-hour dark comedy follows three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems. But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare.

Horsford joins previously cast Teyonah Parris, O-T Fagbenle, Lisa Kudrow, Ray Romano, Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, and Dennis Leary. Additionally, Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Linda Lavin, and Wyatt Aubrey round out the ensemble.
Horsford is slated to portray the character Denise, the loving yet overly critical mother of Dennis (played by O-T Fagbenle), who becomes deeply involved in her son and daughter-in-law’s quest for a new home. Fagbenle’s character, Dennis, is described as a struggling writer caught between his desire to be a supportive husband and father and the complexities of his family dynamics.
Parris takes on the role of Carla, a successful architect navigating the stresses of impending parenthood and financial strain alongside her husband, Dennis. As the couple searches for their perfect home, tensions rise, exposing cracks in their seemingly ideal marriage.

No Good Deed will consist of eight half-hour episodes. It will be directed by Silver Tree, with Feldman as the showrunner. Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum from Gloria Sanchez Productions are also executive producing.

Linda Cardellini portrays Margo Starling, a meticulously groomed status seeker with buried secrets. Margo’s goal is clear—to acquire the in-demand Morgan house for a profitable flip alongside her lover, a high-end developer.
Moennig portrays Gwen, a beautiful, sharp and aloof, Gwen is a high-end developer and Margo’s (Linda Cardellini) potential business partner. Both are intrigued by the Morgan home which could prove to be a very lucrative investment.
Wilson takes on the role of JD Campbell, a depressed and out-of-work soap opera star desperate for his next gig. Balancing the need to downsize from his modern McMansion while maintaining his lavish lifestyle and demanding marriage, JD adds a layer of humor and pathos to the series.
Abbi Jacobson’s character, Leslie Fisher, is clever, curious, and fiercely competitive. Thrilled at the prospect of the Los Feliz home coming on the market, Leslie’s determination sets the stage for intriguing dynamics within the narrative.
Poppy Liu portrays Sarah, a soulful and grounded individual who serves as a moral compass to her wife Leslie (Jacobson). Intrigued by the Morgan house, Sarah grapples with deep reservations, introducing a layer of mystery to her character.
Romano embodies Paul Morgan, the stressed and flat-broke contractor desperate to retire, pay off debts, and escape Los Angeles. Selling the Los Feliz home becomes Paul’s solution, but past mistakes continue to haunt him.
Kudrow takes on the role of Lydia, Paul’s wife and a highly talented former concert pianist. Devoted to her husband, Lydia faces the emotional turmoil of selling their Los Feliz home, a place filled with both happy memories and dark secrets.
Aubrey plays Jacob, Paul (Romano) and Lydia’s (Kudrow) teenage son who has dealt with some difficulties navigating adolescence.
Lavin plays Phyllis, Paul and Lydia’s overly involved neighbor who is always a little too aware of the goings-on in the community.
Rogers plays Greg, the gregarious, charming and slightly smug realtor handling the sale of the Morgan home, Greg is acutely aware of the gem he has on his hands and knows how to keep prospective buyers interested in this highly sought-after home.
Leary will play Mikey, described as “an intense ex-con whose debts have driven him to desperate measures, Mikey finds himself in a dark hole after a terrible accident derailed his sobriety and pulled him away from his family.
