Antonia Gentry, known for her role as Ginny in Netflix’s “Ginny & Georgia,” has joined the cast of the upcoming Hulu movie “Prom Dates.” She will star alongside a star-studded ensemble including Chelsea Handler and John Michael Higgins. The film, directed by Kim O. Nguyen and written by D.J. Mausner, is set to premiere on Hulu this spring.
“Prom Dates” revolves around best friends Jess and Hannah, played by Gentry and Julia Lester, who make a pact at the age of 13 to have the perfect senior prom. Despite the challenges that come with college life looming ahead, they remain committed to honoring their prom pact. However, with just 24 hours left before the big event, their plans unravel as they break up with their respective dates, leaving them scrambling to find new ones and live out their middle-school fantasies.

The cast also includes Kenny Ridwan as Greg, Hannah’s loving boyfriend and student council president, and JT Neal as Jacob, Hannah’s sweet older brother with eyes for Jess. Jordan Buhat plays Jess’s jerk jock boyfriend, while Zión Moreno portrays Heather, a college party girl with a zest for life. Terry Hu rounds out the cast as Angie, a butch lesbian with a rockstar energy and a crush on Hannah.
