Ashleigh Crystal Hairston, known for her roles in “Tiny Toons Looniversity” and “Craig of the Creek,” is lending her voice to the upcoming Nickelodeon animated series, “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish.” The spinoff, scheduled for release this spring in the U.S. and later on Netflix internationally, marks a refreshing return of the beloved fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda.
In this reimagined series, Hairston takes on the role of Hazel Wells, a spirited 10-year-old embarking on magical adventures with the iconic fairy couple. Despite the challenges of being in a new city, Hazel discovers that her neighbors, with their distinctive pink-and-green hair, are not ordinary at all – they’re none other than Cosmo and Wanda, ready to grant her every wish.
“Fairly OddParents: A New Wish” promises a modern twist on the Emmy Award-winning classic, extending the fairy universe to captivate a new generation while retaining the humor and creativity that made the original series a favorite among fans. Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris reprise their roles as Wanda and Cosmo, adding their familiar charm to the animated escapades.
The series, consisting of 20 episodes, is produced by Nickelodeon Animation in Burbank.
