CBS is locking in its biggest hits for another year—and in some cases, two. The network has officially renewed nine series for new seasons, with fan-favorite supernatural comedy Ghosts securing a two-season renewal, extending its run through 2026-2027.
The full list of renewed shows includes:
- Ghosts (renewed through Season 6)
- Tracker (Season 3)
- Fire Country (Season 4)
- NCIS (Season 23)
- NCIS: Origins (Season 2)
- NCIS: Sydney (Season 3)
- Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (Season 2)
- Elsbeth (Season 3)
- Hollywood Squares (Season 2)
These renewals ensure CBS’ 2025-2026 slate remains stacked, joining previously renewed series like Matlock, Survivor, The Amazing Race, and FBI. The network is also expanding its universe with new shows, including the Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country, the Blue Bloods spinoff Boston Blue, and the singing competition The Road.
CBS is doubling down on its top-performing comedies. Ghosts, which remains one of the network’s biggest sitcoms, averages 11 million viewers across platforms within 35 days. Its two-season renewal cements its status as CBS’ most valuable comedy outside of Chuck Lorre’s sitcom empire.
Meanwhile, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage—the Young Sheldon spinoff—has earned a Season 2 renewal after a strong debut. The multi-camera comedy is averaging 12.9 million viewers, making it the second most-watched CBS comedy behind Tracker.
CBS’ drama lineup continues to dominate broadcast TV, with Tracker leading the charge. The action-packed series, which is the most-watched non-sports show on television, pulls in 18 million viewers per episode.
The NCIS franchise remains a staple, with:
- NCIS securing Season 23 (10.4 million viewers)
- NCIS: Origins landing Season 2 (9.2 million viewers)
- NCIS: Sydney returning for Season 3 (7 million viewers)
Additionally, Fire Country, which follows a group of California firefighters, will return for Season 4, averaging 10.6 million viewers per episode.
Meanwhile, Elsbeth—the Good Wife spinoff—has also secured Season 3, with its quirky procedural format resonating with 11 million viewers per episode.
The game show Hollywood Squares, which first aired in the ‘60s and was revived by CBS earlier this year, has secured a Season 2 renewal. While the full 35-day ratings haven’t been released yet, early projections estimate 5.4 million viewers tuning in.
CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach praised the network’s lineup, saying:
“These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”
With more renewals and new series pickups expected in the coming months, CBS is making it clear: it’s not slowing down anytime soon.
