What if the future was never meant to be built on fear?
For decades, science fiction has imagined tomorrow as collapse, control, and surveillance — and almost always through the eyes of the same creators. But what if the future looks completely different when someone else holds the camera?
Delphine Diaw Diallo is a French-Senegalese photographer and visual artist who has spent 15 years quietly building something the world has never seen. The Motherverse, an original sci-fi cinematic universe centered on 12 Oracles, 12 dimensions, and the reawakening of human consciousness. And she built it using AI not as a shortcut, but as a collaborator.
In this conversation we get into where it all started, how she approaches AI differently than almost anyone else working in this space, and why she believes black women are at the center of changing what the future looks like.
