CBS has announced that Wendell Pierce and Carra Patterson will be joining Carrie Preston as the leads in the network’s upcoming drama pilot, Elsbeth. The show is being produced by Robert and Michelle King, the masterminds behind the Good Wife franchise: The Good Wife and The Good Fight.
Elsbeth will center around the character of Elsbeth Tascioni, who was introduced in The Good Wife and later appeared in The Good Fight. Played by Carrie Preston, Tascioni is an astute and unconventional attorney who uses her unique perspective to help the NYPD catch brilliant criminals.
Joining Preston in the series regular cast will be Wendell Pierce, who will play Captain Wagner, a charismatic police captain who is well-respected within the department. Meanwhile, Carra Patterson will take on the role of Officer Kaya Blanke, a stoic and ethical police officer who is often overlooked by her superiors.
