Danielle Deadwyler, Justice Smith, Ian Foreman Among 10 Cast in I Saw The TV Glow

Danielle Deadwyler, Justice Smith, and Ian Foreman are among 10 to star A24 and Fruit Tree’s new horror film, I Saw the TV Glow.

The movie, written and directed by Jane Schoenbrun, follows two teenage outcasts played by Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine who bond over their love of a scary TV show. But when the show is mysteriously canceled, the line between reality and TV begins to blur.

Helena Howard, Amber Benson, Michael C. Maronna, Conner O’Malley, Emma Portner, and Danny Tamberelli are also starring in the film. The film also has a strong musical team, including indie rock artist Lindsey Jordan, Fred Durst, Haley Dahl’s Sloppy Jane, and King Woman. I Saw the TV Glow has already wrapped filming, and fans are eagerly anticipating its release.

Emma Stone, Dave McCary, and Ali Herting are producing the film through their company, Fruit Tree, with Sam Intili and Smudge Films’ Sarah Winshall also producing. A24 handled the financing and will also be handling the worldwide distribution.

Schoenbrun’s feature film debut, We’re All Going to the World’s Fair, debuted to strong reviews at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and will be released early next year via Utopia and HBO Max. Stone will also star alongside Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie in A24’s The Curse for Showtime.

I Saw the TV Glow marks the continued collaboration between Fruit Tree and A24 after they recently worked together on Jesse Eisenberg’s directorial debut feature When You Finish Saving the World, starring Julianne Moore and Finn Wolfhard. They are also producing the television adaptation of Stacy Willingham’s debut thriller A Flicker in the Dark.
