However, we do have news about Foxx’s upcoming film “God Is A Bullet,” based on the novel by Boston Teran. Wayward Entertainment, alongside Patriot Pictures and XYZ Films, announced the release date for the film, which boasts an incredible ensemble cast that also includes Maika Monroe, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Karl Glusman, January Jones, Paul Johansson, ad David Thornton.

The plot of the movie follows Detective Bob Hightower, played by Coster-Waldau, as he attempts to save his daughter from a secretive cult after his ex-wife is murdered and his daughter is kidnapped. With the assistance of Case Hardin (Monroe), who escaped from the cult, Hightower teams up with The Ferryman (Foxx), to bring closure to Hardin and stop the cult’s maniacal leader (Glusman).
The film is produced by Michael Mendelsohn from Patriot Pictures, with Donald V. Allen serving as co-producer, and Natalie Perrotta, Paul Johansson, Sidney Kimmel, Chuck Pacheco, Jim Steele, Santiago García Galván, and Jamie Foxx as executive producers. “God Is A Bullet” is set to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023, with a digital release on July 11, 2023.
Wayward Entertainment, led by Vince Totino and John Hegeman, is responsible for the theatrical distribution of the movie, marking their first theatrical release. In addition, they are also producing the horror feature “Svalta” with Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, and XYZ. Michael Mendelson expressed his excitement about working with Wayward and releasing the film nationwide this summer.
Director Nick Cassavetes has been working to bring this incredible story to life for over 18 years, and promises audiences an action-packed revenge classic that is not to be missed.
