Keeya King, known for her role in Yellowjackets, has joined the cast of Gen V for its second season in a recurring role. The Boys spinoff series, which takes place in the same ruthless superhero universe, is set at Godolkin University, a top-tier college that trains young “supes” to become the next generation of heroes, ideally with major corporate sponsorships. However, this isn’t your typical college experience; the students contend with literal explosive situations alongside the usual pressures of popularity, academics, and self-discovery. As these young supes struggle with power and ambition, the stakes are high—and not everyone is there to be a hero.

In addition to King, Season 2 will see Stephen Kalyn, Julia Knope, Stacey McGunnigle, Tait Fletcher, Wyatt Dorion, and Georgie Murphy join as new recurring cast members, though details about their roles remain under wraps.
The main cast from Season 1 includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Returning characters from The Boys, including Jessie T. Usher, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne, will also make appearances, while Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter will feature as guest stars.
Tragically, actor Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre Anderson, died in a motorcycle accident in late March while traveling to begin filming for Season 2 in Toronto. Following his passing, production paused to allow the cast and crew to grieve and to adjust the storyline without recasting his role. Filming has since resumed.
Gen V is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with Michele Fazekas as showrunner. The executive production team includes Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and several others associated with the The Boys franchise.
