Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel’s live-action Masters of the Universe film is adding even more firepower to its cast. Kojo Attah (In the Grey) has been announced as Tri-Klops, one of Skeletor’s most resourceful and tech-savvy henchmen. Attah joins an ensemble that already includes Idris Elba (Luther) as Duncan, also known as Man-at-Arms, and Nicholas Galitzine (Red, White & Royal Blue) as the iconic He-Man.

Attah is one of four newly confirmed villains. Jared Leto (House of Gucci) has officially signed on as Skeletor, after rumors linked him to the role earlier this year. Other additions include Sam C. Wilson (House of the Dragon) as Trap Jaw and Hafthor Bjornsson (Game of Thrones) as Goat Man. Alison Brie (GLOW) rounds out Skeletor’s inner circle as Evil-Lyn.
Directed by Travis Knight (Bumblebee), the film is a collaborative effort between Escape Artists and Mattel Films, with a script by Chris Butler based on earlier drafts from David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee. Masters of the Universe will hit theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.
Launched in 1982 as a Mattel action figure line, Masters of the Universe quickly became a cultural phenomenon, blending fantasy and science fiction. The animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe premiered the following year, introducing audiences to Prince Adam of Eternia, who transforms into He-Man to defend Castle Grayskull from Skeletor and his minions. Spanning 130 episodes, the show solidified its place as a touchstone of 1980s childhood entertainment.
Subsequent adaptations, including Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, have kept the franchise alive for new generations. With its blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, this live-action adaptation aims to bring the epic battle for Eternia to life.
Attah’s casting as Tri-Klops introduces a fan-favorite villain known for his mastery of technology and surveillance. A skilled swordsman and inventor, Tri-Klops adds a layer of intellect to Skeletor’s chaotic forces. Attah’s recent work includes Netflix’s Supacell, Guy Ritchie’s In the Grey, and the upcoming Murder at the Embassy.
Elba’s portrayal of Duncan, or Man-at-Arms, is set to anchor the film’s heroic narrative. A master of weapons and combat, Duncan serves as both a mentor and protector to Eternia’s royal family. His relationship with Teela, played by Camila Mendes (Riverdale), adds emotional depth to his role.
