Actor Laurence Fishburne has been confirmed to join Rami Malek, Caitríona Balfe, and Rachel Brosnahan in the upcoming thriller film “Amateur.” Directed by James Hawes, the movie follows the story of a CIA cryptographer who takes matters into his own hands after his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack.

Written by Gary Spinelli, the plot revolves around the protagonist’s frustration with the agency’s lack of action due to internal conflicts. In an unprecedented move, he blackmails the agency into training him and allowing him to pursue the terrorists himself.
Fishburne, known for his versatile acting skills, has recently appeared in “John Wick: Chapter 4” and Netflix’s “The School of Good and Evil.” He has also completed filming for Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis.” And this summer Laurence Fishburne is set to showcase his new solo stage show “Like They Do In The Movies” this July as part of the New York Stage and Film Summer Season at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. This will be the world premiere of the show, which Fishburne both wrote and will perform in.
“Amateur” boasts a star-studded cast, including Fishburne, Malek, Balfe, and Brosnahan, promising an exciting and captivating cinematic experience. Fans eagerly anticipate the film, which is expected to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
