Paramount+ has given a preview of its upcoming series, “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” shedding light on the life and accomplishments of Bass Reeves, the pioneering lawman who etched his name in history. Co-created by Chad Feehan and executive producers Taylor Sheridan and David Oyelowo, the series delves into the journey of the first Black U.S. Deputy Marshal West of the Mississippi.

The teaser introduces David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves, a formidable figure patrolling the Wild West. Reeves declares, “I’m Deputy U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves, and your wicked days are done,” underscoring his commitment to justice. Action-packed scenes showcase Reeves in relentless pursuit of lawbreakers.
