The gentleman thief is back—and he’s not done stealing our attention.
Netflix has officially confirmed that Lupin will return for Part 4, with production now underway in Paris. Omar Sy reprises his fan-favorite role as Assane Diop, the modern-day master of disguise and deception inspired by the classic French literary character Arsène Lupin who’s been charming audiences around the world since his 2021 debut.
But this time around, Diop isn’t the only one shaking things up. Netflix also revealed that Théo Christine (Supacell, SKAM France) and Laïka Blanc-Francard (The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon) are joining the ensemble cast for this next chapter. While details about their roles are still under wraps, both bring a fresh edge to the sleek world of high-stakes heists and clever misdirection.
Also back for the ride are series regulars Ludivine Sagnier (Claire), Antoine Gouy (Benjamin), Soufiane Guerrab (Guedira), and Shirine Boutella (Belkacem), all reprising their roles as part of Assane’s ever-evolving circle.
The upcoming installment will include eight 45-minute episodes, with directors Edouard Salier, Everardo Gout, and Hugo Gélin helming the season. Series creator George Kay returns, working alongside François Uzan, with Sy and longtime collaborator Louis Leterrier stepping into co-showrunner duties.
Part 4 also marks a new chapter behind the scenes. This season is being produced under Carrousel Studios—Sy’s banner launched with Leterrier and Thomas Benski—in partnership with Gaumont. According to Sy, this shift brings a “fresh energy” to the production and allows the team to raise the bar creatively.
Since its debut, Lupin has become one of Netflix’s most successful international series. Parts 1 and 2 alone sit among the streamer’s top 10 non-English-language series of all time. With new faces, a reenergized creative team, and no shortage of twists on the horizon, Part 4 is poised to keep the legacy going strong.
No release date has been announced yet, but one thing’s for sure—Assane Diop’s game is far from over.
