CNN Films in collaboration with the OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network acquired the Luther Vandross documentary, ‘Luther: Never Too Much’. Directed by Dawn Porter and produced by Trish D Chetty, Ged Doherty, Jamie Foxx, Datari Turner, and Leah Smith, the film delves into the life and legacy of Luther Vandross. The documentary, which premiered to critical acclaim and standing ovations at the Sundance Festival, offers an intimate look at Vandross’s remarkable yet tragically short career.
‘Luther: Never Too Much’ stands out for its deep exploration of Vandross’s influence in the music industry, featuring rare archival footage and interviews with renowned artists such as Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, Dionne Warwick, Valerie Simpson, and Roberta Flack. This documentary aims to celebrate Vandross’s timeless music and his impact on generations of musicians and fans alike.
