Netflix Sets Premiere Date for Mike Epps’ “Ready to Sell Out” Comedy Special

Netflix announced that Mike Epps’ latest comedy special, “Ready to Sell Out,” is scheduled to premiere globally on February 20, 2024. This marks Epps’ fourth collaboration with the platform, following his previous specials – “Don’t Take It Personal” (2015), “Only One Mike” (2019), and “Indiana Mike” (2022).

Directed by Royale Watkins, the hour-long special explores Epps’ reflections on his financial journey, relationships, and street observations. Executive producers include Epps, Mark Ritchie, Thomas Cobb, Niles Kirchner, and Kyra Epps, with Southpaw Productions Inc. handling production.

Mike Epps, a seasoned comedian who started his stand-up career in 1995, is also known for specials like “Under Rated… Never Faded & X -Rated” and “Inappropriate Behavior.” Beyond stand-up, he stars in Netflix’s sitcom “The Upshaws,” set to return for its fifth season in the spring.

Epps will participate in Netflix’s comedy festival, Netflix is a Joke Fest, from May 2-12 this year. The streaming giant continues its streak of comedy specials, with recent releases including Stavros Halkias: Fat Rascal, Trevor Noah: Where Was I, Ricky Gervais: Armageddon, Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer, Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli, Dusty Slay: Workin’ Man, and Rachid Badouri: Les fleurs du tapis.

Upcoming specials include Jacqueline Novak: Get on Your Knees (January 23), Jack Whitehall: Settle Down (January 30), and Taylor Tomlinson: Have It All (February 13). The announcement builds anticipation for “Mike Epps: Ready to Sell Out,” adding to Netflix’s diverse comedy lineup.
