We’re still piecing together the puzzle, but one thing’s for sure—Hulu’s Paradise is sticking around for another round. The streaming platform just renewed the mystery thriller for a second season, extending the suspense surrounding a presidential assassination and the secrets buried beneath the surface.
Created by Dan Fogelman (This Is Us), Paradise follows Secret Service Agent Xavier Collins, played by Sterling K. Brown, as he grapples with protecting a president (James Marsden) whose murder sets off a chain reaction of shocking revelations. The series, set in a seemingly perfect, high-profile community, quickly spirals into a high-stakes investigation with twists at every turn.
Paradise made an impressive debut, pulling in 7 million views across Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally within its first week. With early data from Nielsen suggesting it will land on the Streaming Top 10 Originals chart, Hulu is doubling down on the series’ potential.
Alongside Brown, the cast includes Aliyah Mastin, Percy Daggs IV, James Marsden (Westworld), Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown), Sarah Shahi (Sex/Life), and Nicole Brydon Bloom (The Gilded Age).
The renewal news arrives just ahead of the show’s season one finale, streaming Tuesday, March 4. But for those who missed the initial run on Hulu, Paradise will also air on ABC starting Monday, April 7, at 10 p.m.
Fogelman, who also serves as executive producer, has been playing the long game with this one. He previously revealed that he mapped out a three-season arc, promising that while each season will feel distinct, the narrative will stay tightly woven. “There’s twists and turns throughout the season,” he told THR. “Then the seventh episode is kind of a standalone episode. As we go into season two, we pivot a little bit—but in a way that I think is very followable.”
And as for the burning questions from season one? Fogelman promises they won’t be left hanging. “Any question that people have after the first couple of episodes should be answered at the end of the eighth episode. Then a new question and journey will start that takes us into the second season.”
With that, it looks like Paradise is just getting started.
