The fourth and final season of “Power Book II: Ghost” has made an impressive mark on Starz, setting new records for the network. According to Starz, the season premiere attracted over 6.5 million viewers across multiple platforms in its first week, solidifying it as one of the network’s most successful debuts.
Viewership data highlights the episode’s significant impact, with an impressive 11% of premiere day streams occurring within the first hour on the Starz app. Additionally, Nielsen reports that the show was the highest-rated cable program among Black households throughout the premiere week. For the final season, the series will unfold in two parts, with the second part slated to premiere in September.
The “Power” universe continues to demonstrate its massive appeal, having accumulated 1.5 billion viewing hours globally to date. Season 4 of “Power Book II: Ghost” continues to follow the intricate lives of its characters. Tariq and Brayden navigate new alliances, while Brayden’s reckless behavior leaves Tariq questioning their partnership. As Monet faces life-threatening danger, Davis battles potential disbarment, and Effie aims to secure her future at Stanford, tensions run high. Diana and Dru grapple with their identities, and Cane collaborates with Noma, whose presence in the States puts her on Tariq and Brayden’s radar.
Tariq’s journey is central to the storyline as he confronts his past to protect his loved ones and rise to the top of the criminal hierarchy. The ensemble cast includes Michael Rainey Jr., Mary J. Blige, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Gianni Paolo, Woody McClain, Lovell Adams-Gray, LaToya Tonodeo, Alix Lapri, Larenz Tate, Caroline Chikezie, Lightskinkeisha, and Michael Ealy.
Brett Mahoney, known for his work on “Empire” and “The Following,” returns as showrunner and executive producer for this season. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television for Starz and boasts executive producers Courtney A.
