STARZ has released the first trailer for season four of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, teasing more power struggles, high-stakes drama, and betrayal when the show returns on Friday, March 7. The prequel series follows the transformation of Kanan Stark (MeKai Curtis) as he continues his journey from a hesitant teenager to the ruthless figure introduced in Power.
The new season picks up with Kanan determined to step out of his mother’s shadow—Raquel “Raq” Thomas, played by Patina Miller. Raq is a cold and calculating drug queenpin who begins to question her son’s loyalty as he carves his own path. As their drug empire grows, they cross paths with street legends like Snaps (Wendell Pierce) and Pop (Erika Woods) and align with Italian mob boss Stefano Marchetti (Tony Danza). However, the return of Unique (Joey Bada$$), who is seeking revenge, threatens to destroy everything they’ve built.
Season three marked a major turning point for Kanan, as he orchestrated the deaths of Detective Howard and Ronnie, taking control of his destiny. Season four will test his survival instincts and identity like never before. While the Thomas family appears to be on solid ground—Raq free of old enemies, Lou (Malcolm Mays) at peace, Marvin (London Brown) escaping legal troubles, and Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore) forging her own path—Unique’s return promises chaos that could unravel it all.
The new season also brings fresh faces to the series, including Pardison Fontaine as B-Rilla, Chris Redd as Early Tyler, Sibongile Mlambo as Imani Okoye, and Paul Ben-Victor as Phil Russo.
Showrunner Sascha Penn returns to lead season four, alongside executive producers Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Mark Canton. Power Book III: Raising Kanan continues to expand the Power Universe with its signature blend of gripping storytelling and complex characters.
New episodes will stream every Friday on STARZ platforms, with the upcoming season shaping up to be the most intense yet.
