HDP Studios has announced that the pilot episode of its upcoming half-hour scripted series, Thirty Something: Adulthood Under Construction, will screen at the 2026 Big Apple Film Festival on May 12 at 9:30 PM at Village East by Angelika, Theater 3.
The series was created by Romeo Etienne and Hope Hollinsworth Coaxum and follows Romeo Carter, a former hip-hop artist working to rebuild his life after a career-defining business collapse. Set in New York City, the show tracks his path through financial recovery, shifting relationships, and the slower, messier work of figuring out who you are when the momentum stops.
The pilot episode, titled “You Me, Him and Her,” blends dialogue-driven humor with emotionally grounded storytelling — landing in the space where comedy and drama overlap. The ensemble cast includes Romeo Etienne, Martina Holley, Wayne Violet, Sadeeah Bunch, and Jacque Horton.
The series targets adults 25 to 50 and centers themes of reinvention, accountability, and second chances.
HDP Studios — which stands for Hunger, Desire, Passion — is a New York-based production company with prior credits including Hey Love, Her Decision, and A Son to a Father.
