The 2024 Critics Choice Awards nominations have arrived.
Cord Jefferson in his directorial debut secures a nod for Best Adapted Screenplay, while his film “American Fiction” and “The Color Purple” tie with an impressive 5 nominations each. Both projects are up for a Best Picture award.
Da’Vine Joy Randolph receives her second nomination for her role in The Holdovers, she’s also up for a Golden Globe.
The film industry’s billion-dollar sensation, Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie,” leads the nominations with a record-breaking 18, surpassing all others in the organization’s 29-year history.
Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” and Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things” closely follow with 13 nominations each, including a nod for Best Picture.
The 2024 Critics Choice Awards ceremony is set to be broadcast live on The CW on Sunday, Jan. 14, with Chelsea Handler returning as host. The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards will honor outstanding achievements in both cinematic and television realms.
