The Canadian-American police procedural crime drama series, co-produced by CBC and The CW, stars Vanessa Morgan as Max Mitchell, a clever con woman, and Giacomo Gianniotti as Cole Ellis, a by-the-book and sardonic detective.
The series kicks off with an intriguing premise: Ellis, a demoted water-cop, arrests Max, a transient con woman. However, their paths take an unexpected turn when Max, while in custody, assists Ellis in solving a crime. This unusual collaboration sparks an opportunity for redemption – Ellis aims to reclaim his detective badge, while Max strives to avoid jail time. The catch? They must become an unlikely crime-solving duo, each leveraging their unique skills.
