all american season 7

All American is gearing up for its seventh season, but big changes are on the horizon for the CW’s long-running sports drama. Five original cast members will not return as series regulars, making way for new faces and fresh storylines.

Samantha Logan (Olivia), Cody Christian (Asher), Karimah Westbrook (Grace James), Monét Mazur (Laura Baker), and Chelsea Tavares (Patience) are stepping back from their regular roles. While Daniel Ezra, who stars as Spencer James, won’t return full-time, he is slated for guest appearances and will even direct some episodes this season. Fan-favorites Michael Evans Behling (Jordan), Greta Onieogou (Layla), and Bre-Z (Coop) have all signed on for another season.

Season 7 will introduce new characters and expanded storylines. Among the fresh talent joining the cast are Osy Ikhile, known for his work on Citadel, and Nathaniel McIntyre (he will star in the upcoming Michael biopic). Alexis Chikaeze and Antonio J. Bell, who appeared in the previous season, have also been promoted to series regulars.

Ikhile will portray Cassius Jeremy, Beverly High’s new football coach. A determined family man, Coach Jeremy arrives from Oakland, ready to restore Beverly’s football program to its former glory—by any means necessary. His son, KJ, played by McIntyre, is Beverly’s newly transferred quarterback. Naturally gifted with an impressive football IQ, KJ has one goal: making it to the NFL. However, balancing high school life, complicated relationships, and a deep-seated rivalry will make his journey anything but easy.

Bell and Chikaeze, who play Khalil and Amina respectively, are stepping into larger roles as regular cast members, ensuring that the drama at South Crenshaw High continues to unfold.

The official synopsis reveals that Season 7 will return to its roots, focusing on Beverly Hills High and South Crenshaw High. It promises the same intense rivalries, NFL dreams, and the OG crew coming to terms with their new roles as responsible adults guiding a new generation of L.A. teens. The series will explore familiar emotional beats while tackling new challenges both on and off the football field.

As All American prepares to air its 13-episode seventh season in 2025, fans will also bid farewell to its spinoff, All American: Homecoming, which is concluding its three-season run.
