And Just Like That…’ Renewed for Third Season by MAX + Samantha is Back in New Trailer [VIDEO]

And Just Like That Renewed

Carrie Bradshaw and the ladies of And Just Like That are set to grace our screens once again with their romantic escapades and Bradshaw’s signature closing narrations. Max has officially greenlit a third season of And Just Like That. The show follows the lives of Carrie (portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) as they navigate the complexities of family, love, and friendship over 15 years after the original series concluded.

This renewal arrives just on the heels of the second-season finale, slated for August 24th. The finale has already generated a buzz, promising a highly anticipated cameo appearance from Kim Cattrall, the fourth core member of the SATC cast.

Sarah Aubrey, Max’s Head of Original Content, expressed her excitement in a statement, “As we eagerly approach the upcoming season finale, we raise our cosmos to [showrunner] Michael Patrick King and his remarkable team of writers, producers, cast, and crew who continue to captivate us, even 25 years later, with their dynamic friendships and compelling narratives. We’re counting down the days until audiences can embark on the journey of season three alongside our favorite New Yorkers.”

While the anticipation for the next season runs high, it’s worth noting that the production of season three will commence only after the resolution of ongoing strikes by Hollywood writers and actors. These professionals are advocating for improved compensation, residuals, and safeguards against the encroachment of artificial intelligence on their roles within the entertainment industry.

Michael Patrick King, the creative force behind the series, shared his enthusiasm, “We are elated to delve further into the Sex and the City universe, crafting new tales about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters, all brought to life by an incredible cast. And just like that… here comes season three.”

In addition to the leading trio of Parker, Davis, and Nixon, the season two cast boasts a diverse ensemble including Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang, Alexa Swinton, and John Corbett.

The series is helmed by executive producers Michael Patrick King, John Melfi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, and Elisa Zuritsky. The foundation of the show traces back to the creative mind of Darren Star, who adapted Sex and the City from the book by Candace Bushnell. Fans and enthusiasts can’t wait to witness what new stories and adventures the third season will unveil in this cherished universe.
