Apple TV+ is set to bring viewers a fresh and comedic take on the struggles of sleepless nights with their upcoming series, Still Up. Produced by Various Artists Limited, the show offers a sneak peek into the world of chronic insomnia through its official trailer.

The series, co-created and written by Steve Burge and Natalie Walter, stars Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor) as Lisa and Craig Roberts (Red Oaks) as Danny, two best friends who find themselves perpetually deprived of restful sleep. “Haven’t slept in about two months,” Lisa admits, reflecting the challenges of chronic insomnia, while Danny expresses his frustration with failed attempts at remedies like hypnotism and acupuncture.

Still Up paints an “almost romantic comedy” portrait of the after-hours lives of these two insomniac friends, whose only secrets are their unspoken feelings for each other. The ensemble cast includes Blake Harrison, Lois Chimimba, Luke Fetherston, and Rich Fulcher, who join Thomas and Roberts in bringing the characters to life.

The series is directed by John Addis, a BAFTA Award nominee, and written by Bryce Hart. Executive production is in the capable hands of BAFTA winner Paul Schlesinger and Emmy winner Phil Clarke, while Arabella McGuigan takes on the role of producer.

Viewers can mark their calendars for the global premiere of Still Up on Apple TV+. The show kicks off with three episodes on Friday, September 22, and continues to keep fans engaged with new episodes every Friday through October 27. If you’re missing Antonia Thomas from The Good Doctor, this could be the perfect remedy for your entertainment cravings.

Step into the world of insomniac friends with Still Up, where sleeplessness leads to unexpected connections and unspoken emotions. Don’t miss the chance to delve into this unique “almost-romantic comedy” experience, only on Apple TV+.
