They all join the series lead Dominique Thorne as Marvel character Riri Williams in the six-episode series created by Chinaka Hodge. Williams is a genius inventor, who, in the comics, builds her own and the most advanced version of the Iron Man suit in her MIT dorm.

Since Marvel has declined to comment on her role, there is very little known who Cree will play. It is believed Baron will be playing a comic book villain, probably Mephisto. Ross will play Williams’ best friend. Ramos’ character is being kept secret, but sources say he could be the show’s villain.

Ironheart was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato and debuted in 2016’s Invincible Iron Man No. 7.

At certain points in the comics, she even takes over for Tony Stark as Iron Man; in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., heroically died fighting power-mad Thanos in Avengers: Endgame.

Chinaka Hodge is the head writer for the series with Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes directing and with Ryan Coogler’s Proximity among the production entities. Coogler, Ironheart head writer Chinaka Hodge, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian serve as executive producers alongside Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, and Zoie Nagelhout.
